Annual Sports Day

"It’s not the will to win that matters—everyone has that. It’s the will to prepare to win that matters."

Our annual sports day, held earlier this month, was full of fun and excitement. The entire school, including the playground, was decorated with flags, colourful buntings and flowers. Many boys and girls took part in the event. Due to the critical situation of covid-19, we organized a Virtual Annual Sports day for students of Pre - Primary section.

Having kids do sports goes way beyond the benefits of

just keeping them active so they get tired. ... Being active in sports will also help keep their heart-healthy because it improves cardiovascular endurance. Being on a sports team also helps kids with social interactions, building teamwork, and leadership skills. Playing sports as a kid leads to several important benefits such as improved physical health, enhanced social skills, and better mental health.

The great event was followed by the Torch with burning fire by the educators. And welcomed all the learners who were presented through online mode. It was started with great zeal and excitement. All the kids were excited that this time, they were going to play from home. Our Educators guided them about the games in that they played fun ball game, one-minute games, etc. Kids were glad that at least they were able to play from home through online mode.

At the end of the day, we just couldn’t imagine that we ever celebrated such a sports day but we feel very satisfied and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. If you were

to close your eyes to the virtual space and just listen to some of the cheerings, you would have actually imagined that you were on the sports field. So with the ‘Never Say Die’ attitude, we kept up the spirit of the school and we managed to do what we never imagined the year ago that we would have managed. This lockdown and this pandemic has taught us to be more innovative, and move ahead, no matter what, with a never say die spirit and attitude.

Students enjoy a lot to play games virtually. We had a surprise game for parents also. They also became kids and enjoy it a lot. They made pair with their kids and played through online mode and felt glad that being the part of Gajera School, Parents are also getting chance to have a special moment with their kids. Even Students became happy to see their parents have a true spirit to play a game on this sports day. Our Principal Mr.Nitin Patil encouraged our kids who were participated in the sports as well as parents also. Our Celebration ended with the speech of Vice-Principal mam.
