Environmental Education for Better Future

Change is the only permanent thing in this world therefore everybody expects certain changes in life. The term environment education means the education process dealing with man's relationship with his Natural and manmade surroundings, and includes the relation of population, pollution, resource allocation and depletion, conservation, transportation, technology, and rural planning to the total human environment.
In a way environmental education is education through environment ,about environment and for environment. It also means controlling the environment establishing proper ecological equilibrium which entails proper use and conversation of resources and also involves control of environmental pollution. It also includes proper environmental planning so that environment is not only functionally useful but also aesthetically enjoyable. It deals with every issue that affects living organisms.
The industrial development and agriculture that provides goods our increasing consumer-oriented society uses up large amounts of natural resources like water, minerals, petroleum, products, woods, etc. Nonrenewable resources, such as minerals and oil, are those which will be exhausted in the future if we continue to extract these without a thought for the subsequent generation. Renewable resources such as Timber and water doors can be used but can be e regenerated by natural processes regrowth is rainfall. But these too will be depleted if we continue to use them faster than nature can replace them. This unsustainable utilization can result from overuse of resources, because of population, increase, and because many of us indulge in wasteful behavior patterns without ever thinking about their environmental impacts.
The present situation in the environment has given rise to the threat for the future like Global warming, Deforestation, Pollution. It is caused by the accumulation of certain gases, called greenhouse gases, in the atmosphere. These allow incoming solar radiation, which the earth, to pass through easily, but trap some of the heat which is being radiated back from earth into space. This is known as the greenhouse effect. The most important greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide; others are methane, nitrous oxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and ozone.

The best insurance for the environment is a commitment on behalf of the public to prevent the deterioration of air, water, and land. India's major environmental problem is due to pollution. As in most of the part of the nation different pollution are prevailing. It has one more concern too that is increasing population and this has caused the environment degradation in India. Two major things which have made our life unsustainable are the injudicious use of resources and population growth. In the blind race of development, we have forgotten the survival of the nation and the survival of the world as well. Through environment education, we should try to teach 3R principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle to the students as reduction is the best option.
If we reduce our of the sources, there is a small chance of waste and pressure on natural resources is also reduced.
Reuse is the next best option, as the product is reused in its current form without using energy to convert it.
Recycle is the last option, as although it converts waste into resources, it uses energy to make it usable. It's up to us to which economy we ought to follow if we are thinking of a future generation.
Rapid population growth, urbanization, and industrial growth have led to serve waste management problems around the world. The growth in the usage of plastics is a major contributor to environmental degradation today. We are plastics in virtually every shape and form in our daily life. Humans are consuming resources and producing waste at a greater scale, plastic makes our lives incredibly convenient, disposable, and easy, but most people rarely think about the effects, it has on the environment. Unlike other materials, it never really goes away. Plastic does break down, but in a landfill it is non-biodegradable.

We at Gajera Vidyabhavan implemented the phrase- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The aim of this research dissertation is to identify environmentally sustainable management options for waste plastics. Approximately 100 million plastic bottles are used and discarded every day. Old plastic bottles can make excellent plant container pots. Old waste bottles are fun and super easy, plus save our money and eco-friendly. Our students brought plastic bottles to make it creative. Vertical Garden was created with a lot of effort from students and teachers.
