Importance of Mental Health


It affects how we think feel and act as we cope with life. it helps determine how we handle stress relate to others and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life from childhood to adolescence and through adulthood to aging. Health is important for the development of a country. Health is a state of physical, social, and spiritual well-being and not merely the absence of disease. Mental health is mental wellbeing in which an individual realizes his or her own abilities can cope with the normal stresses of life and work productively. Mental health has an impact on education outcomes and productivity at work.

Health –‘mental or physical a constant talking point since last for 14 months. As the coronavirus pandemic rapidly sweeps across the world, it is including a considerable degree of fear, worry, and concern in the population at a large and among certain groups in particular such as older, adults, care providers, and people with underlying health conditions.

In the face of the global covid- 19 pandemic, schools have confronted unprecedented challenges as they moved to quickly shift classes to an online format, the pandemic itself has caused much worry, stress, and grief. These stressors can cause mental health challenges. The key to keep children busy is to engage with them, involve them in household chores, and allow them to interact with their friends, family, and neighbors. In this context, Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin has taken initiative to make students mentally and physically fit by arranging fit and fun classes on daily basis.it was really an enjoyable task for both learners and educators.

Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, teachers' mental health suffers in ways they have never experienced. In real classrooms, a teacher can pick up nonverbal cues from the body language of the students but in virtual space, teachers are mentally left wondering if students are getting bored. Questions line, are they understanding? are they listening? have they lost their interest? will keep popping up. Even during psychological disturbance teachers worked innovatively and came up with methodologies that can make classes more engaging. These different activities will go a long way in keeping students motivated and making them mentally strong.

The pandemic has also stretched our expenses, reduced our income, or left us unsure about

our job prospects, This uncertainty also took a toll on our mental health. The only way to come out of this mental trauma is meditation exercise and fun creating activity.

During these times we need to step back breath for a minute and ask ourselves ‘what is the next right or best thing to do?’
