A person, who supports his/her country, and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors is known as a patriot. The passion of patriotism is said to flow in the blood of countrymen. Patriotism and nationalism are the two sides of the same coin. In nationalism, the nation has a symbolic representation to have freedom for an ethnic group, while in patriotism the nation itself has the highest value.
To foster a sense of belongingness towards our motherland a ‘Patriotic Singing Competition’ is organized. Music binds our soul, hearts and emotions. It not only develops aesthetic sense but is also a key to creativity. It is one of the most beloved human experiences and plays an important role in the education of a child by providing him with an opportunity of self-expression The patriotic singing competition showcases our love and respect for our motherland. It expresses our devotion and inculcates reverence for our country blended with a sense of fulfilment and responsibility towards our country.
By 'patriotism' mean devotion to a particular place and a particular way of life, which one believes to be the best in the world but has no wish to force upon other people. Patriotism is of its nature defensive, both militarily and culturally. Nationalism, on the other hand, is inseparable from the desire for power.
Patriotic Song Competition was organized at Gajera Vidyabhavan, Sachin A platform was given to the students to imbibe a sense of devotion towards our motherland. Patriotic songs sung demonstrated their love for the country. The themes chosen were to glorify sacrifice, land’s beauty, history and martyrdom. All the classes were prepared well for the competition and a wide range of songs were presented. Their songs invoked strong sense of patriotism in each one. It was a great show and our Principal Sir and vice Principal Mam was involved in cheering, encouraging and appreciating to all Students performance.
The melodious voice fused with patriotism enthralled one and all.
