Summer Camp

Child time summer camp program for kids is a great way for your child to learn, socialize & grow during the summer months. Summer camp, according to the study, cultivates emotional intelligence (or EQ), independence, environmental awareness, learning, leadership, healthy living, self-confidence, and other skills that prove constructive long into adulthood. At camp, you can have your cake, flavored with a mix of fun and learning, and eat it too. Play not only offers children the tools to entertain themselves, it also builds their imagination. Kids learn to set their own boundaries, to develop in an environment that’s not necessarily focused on a competitive end, to interact with one another, to determine how to win and lose, and to trade roles and be involved in an active way with their peers.

Parents want the best opportunities for their children. They want them to have whatever it takes to be happy and successful - good health, ability to get along with others, thinking and problem-solving skills, a good self-concept. Children need resiliency skills: self-esteem, life skills, self-reliance, and pro-social behaviors. But In this, Covid-19 situation physical camp not possible but we conducted an online summer camp for students. We know about their inner skill and interest.

Our school Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin organized one week summer camp for students. In that we had taken activities like, art & craft, dance, drawing, painting, best out of waste activity, and Zumba. There was the best response of students we got.

  • Art & Craft: People use plastic bags to carry items like food and clothes, which

are bought from shops. Plastic bags are commonly used, even though we know they can damage the environment. This has resulted in many detrimental environmental effects including animal choking, pollution, blockage of channels, rivers, and streams, and landscape disfigurement. As a result of these effects, our students made paper bags for carrying things which guide by Dwivedi Eureka Educator at Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin. So, it is a little help for our environment and it was done just from used paper.

  • Dance: Dance is a holistic activity for the mind, body, and soul. It aligns all these, and the student is then more aware of their strength and weaknesses giving them an opportunity to identify them and work on them. With a dance class, they have something to look forward to and they get to do what they like. In Google meet we conducted a dance class and students also performed with Pooja Thummar Educator at Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin.

  • Drawing: Drawing can improve the hand-eye coordination of students. It also helps butto establish concentration and visual analysis. We can develop a movement of hands,

wrists, and fingers. Our educator conducted drawing class by some effective method. So, It can boost your interest and remove your sluggishness. This activity guide by Kunbi Jignesh Educator at Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin.

  • Painting: Painting can also help us deal with those feelings by giving them a physical shape, removing the anguish involved when keeping feelings hidden. This is why psychologists often prescribe art therapy for patients who have suffered psychological trauma. It helps to release emotions in a safe, non-threatening environment. This is our fourth day of the summer camp and students and parents also took initiation for this program. This painting was done under the guidance of Kunbi Jignesh Educator at Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin

  • Best out of waste : Making the best out of waste has been a part of human life since the early ages. It was the human creative mind that gave birth to this extraordinary idea of using unwanted material in a useful way. In today’s world recycling has a very important place. There are a lot of things around that are labeled as dumps. But the irony is that most of the dump collected is useful for others if recycled. Hence utilizing the best from unwanted things has become a generic necessity of every human’s life. Teachers have a significant role in nurturing the value of environmental protection and conservation among children through creative craft activities like ‘Best out of Waste’. We love our photographs and we want to hang that on the wall. In this camp our students made photo frame with help of Patel Mayuri Educator at Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin of used material.

  • Zumba: Zumba is an exercise class that involves a lot of different dance steps and rhythms. Instructors combine these steps, setting them to a wide range of musical styles, and create a workout that’s a blend of dance and intense cardio. It improves your physical endurance, your body metabolism, reduces stress and muscle strength. Zumba was taken by Pooja Thummar. This was the last day of summer camp and students requested to the teacher “Can we expand more days this camp? ” So, this is the strategy of Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin.
