Vasant Panchami Celebration

" या कुन्देन्दुतुषारहारधवला या शुभ्रवस्त्रावृता या वीणावरदण्डमण्डितकरा या श्वेतपद्मासना।

या ब्रह्माच्युतशंकरप्रभृतिभिर्देवैः सदा वन्दिता सा मां पातु सरस्वती भगवती निःशेषजाड्यापहा ॥"



Maa Saraswati is a part of the tridevi of Saraswati, along with Lakshmi and Parvati. This year, Vasant Panchami 2022 will be observed on Saturday, February 5, 2022.

Vasant Panchami marks the onset of Spring along with the beginning of preparations for Holi.

In the eastern regions of India like West Bengal and Bihar, the occasion is celebrated as Saraswati Puja, the goddess of knowledge, language, music and arts. According to another folklore in Hindu mythology, the day of the festival is believed to be the day when Saraswati was born.

In the northern states of the country like Punjab and Haryana, Vasant Panchami is celebrated as a spring harvest festival. Farmers in the states rejoice and harvest crops on this day. Bengalis honour the Goddess Saraswati on the day by wearing yellow outfits and decorating their homes with yellow flowers.


Spiritual Significance of Vasant Panchami

Goddess Saraswati, the one who flows (saras) easily (wati), was created by Lord Brahma and is also known as Vach-Devi – the Goddess of Speech. Vasant Panchami marks the birth of the Goddess and is an opportunity for a new spiritual birth for the seeker.

The beej or seed mantra for invocation of Saraswati Devi is "Aum Shreem Bhreem Saraswataye Namah."

On the occasion of "Vasant Panchami" Gajera School celebrated this day through online mode in Pre-Primary Section and dress code for the kids were yellow colour . All the kids wore yellow colour dress. The class was started with the Pooja of Goddess Saraswati and our educator explained to the kids about the importance of this day and they also did prayer . Worshiping the Goddess on this day will bring blessings of learning and knowledge.
