June 7 is World Food Safety Day. The United Nations has announced that it will call public attention to the health effects of polluted food and water. With the Fifth World Food Safety Day (7 June 2023), we all have an opportunity this year to remember the people who help us ensure the health of our food.

The Second World Food Safety Day (WFSD) will highlight and encourage initiatives aimed at preventing, identifying, and managing food threats, contributing to food protection, human health, economic sustainability, agriculture, market access, tourism, and sustainable growth. The safety of food has a vital role to play at all stages of the food chain – from cultivation to harvest, processing, storage, distribution to preparation and consumption – to ensure that food is healthy.

This year the theme of World Food Safety Day 2023 is – Food standards save lives

A slogan competition based on the theme of World Food Safety Day was held at Gajera Vidhyabhavan, Sachin, on 07-06-2023. The competition was organized for the primary section, from 1st standard to 4th standard. It commenced at 8:30 am and concluded at 9:30 am.

During the competition, the students were given the task of writing a slogan about food on chart paper. They exhibited their creativity by beautifully crafting their slogans and adorning them with colorful paintings, stones, and sketches. The enthusiasm and effort put forth by the students were commendable.

After the students completed their work, a panel of judges carefully evaluated their entries. The judges assessed the slogans based on their relevance to the theme, creativity, and overall presentation. It was a challenging task for the judges, considering the remarkable effort put in by the participants.

Finally, the winners of the competition were announced by the judges. The students who secured the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions were recognized for their exceptional slogans and artistic skills. The announcement of the winners filled the atmosphere with excitement and applause.

To conclude the event, the principal expressed appreciation for the winners, acknowledging their hard work and creativity. The principal also encouraged all the participants, emphasizing the importance of food safety and its impact on our well-being.
